How cute is this little guy?!

One night, about two years ago, I was walking my dog in our local area. I came up to an abandoned house and suddenly heard the smallest cry coming from somewhere nearby. I followed the sound and found this little fella, hiding in the garden of the house. He had squished himself into the wall of the garden, calling as much as he could, so I tempted him out with dog treats (something which I don’t always carry!) until he came out far enough for me to pick him up. All this while holding onto my dog on the world’s narrowest pavement.

He was disgustingly dirty!

I dropped the dog off at home and went straight to the 24/7 vet clinic – they’re used to me there and luckily, it’s just a few hundred metres from my house. They gave him a clean, checked him over, deflead and wormed him – I’m so fortunate to have those guys. Thankfully, he was pretty healthy, even though his paws, nose and mouth were full of dirt from where he’d probably been trying to survive by himself for a while. He was easily tamed, as you can see in the photo! And after less than two weeks here, we managed to find him his fur-ever home =^..^=
