Support the Cats

People often ask me how they can help. They may feel a little impotent supporting me from afar, seeing the suffering and not being able to physically make a difference. Many of you are from all over the world, not just Italy. You’re from as far afield as the UK, America, Australia, even Venezuela, and the UAE! I love my community, each and every one of you are so important to me and the cats, whether you follow us on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Youtube, or whether you subscribe to the Patreon channel or buy from our Ko-Fi store.

Since I was a teenager, I have wanted to run an animal sanctuary, but I fully believe that in this modern era, a successful, efficient sanctuary needs to be supported by a business model rather than relying on donations alone. This is where my all my channels come into play.

How to support the building of a cat sanctuary in Abruzzo

  1. Subscribe to my Patreon channel

Honestly, this is probably the biggest way you can support the cats we rescue. It’s just 3€ a month, less than the price of a coffee for most people – except Italians! By building up the Patreon channel, I will be able to have a regular, monthly income to better plan for the future of the cats.

But I do not expect you to give me something for nothing, oh no! On the Patreon channel, there are monthly webinars on cat-related topics, including enrichment, evolution and behaviour. I’m going to be putting my animal behaviour degree and feline behaviour diploma to good use, giving you as much information as possible to make life better with YOUR cats, while using the funds to support rescues here in Abruzzo.

I would just like to take a moment and thank with my whole heart my early supporters. The people who took a chance and believed in me ❤

Elsa, Angela, Manuela, Jana, and Katarzyna – you guys gave me hope and validated my purpose in life. Thank you.

  1. Send a gift on PayPal

If a regular, monthly donation does not feel right for you, you can also send a one-off tip via PayPal. None of the donations or gifts received via PayPal will ever be touched for the day-to-day costs of the rescues. They are left alone and put towards bigger projects. They are absolutely an investment in the future.

  1. Visit the Ko-Fi store

In the Ko-Fi store, you can find FREE PDF write ups of many of my popular cat-related topics. You can also find the transcripts for the webinars (although, if you want the full experience, I really do recommend that you subscribe to the Patreon account where you can watch them all). You can also “buy a coffee” for us, which is a one-off donation to support creators.

  1. Subscribe to the YouTube Channel

Engaging with the YouTube channel is an excellent way to support the cats. Once the channel gets to over 1000 subscribers, I can monetise it and make an extra revenue stream to support a rescue sanctuary.

  1. Share the posts on social media

It really does take a village to make a difference. Without YOU GUYS supporting me, following, liking, commenting, and sharing, my ability to share stories and make a difference for cats here in Abruzzo would be tiny. It’s thanks to you guys that I can help cats like Rose, Boscaiola, Peanut, Fantasmino, Copernicus and all the others that have arrived at this house and been adopted – Wall Kitty, Bush, Leoncina, the Magic 3, Ortolino, Frida, Lola, Mouse. The list is growing every year and it would not be possible without your social support ❤
